「廈門正在趕走台商」一個在廈門打拚多年的台灣朋友，狠狠摁熄手中的香菸，講出他的看法。勞力成本增加之外，大陸沿海地區想要「轉型升級」，地方政府對製造業都不太客氣，台商感受到這股壓力，正在尋找下一個戰場。
 
最近流行在廈門台商老闆口中的一個英文名詞叫「VIP」，他們不是在講當年到大陸被奉若貴賓。V是越南、I指的是印尼、P是菲律賓，台商成群結隊前往考察，可能採取整廠轉移的模式，遷廠到東南亞，這些地方的勞動力成本比大陸便宜，而且受惠於東協協議，產品可以免稅進入大陸市場。
